Vurnly is a wishlist and price tracker. You save products you want, and Vurnly checks
them and tells you when the price drops or they come back in stock. This page says what
Vurnly keeps about you, why, and who else sees any of it.
What Vurnly keeps
- A request to join: the email address and the note you write when you ask to join,
so the person running Vurnly can decide on it. Only they see it.
- An invitation: if you're sent an invite link, the email address you type on it.
A 6-digit code is emailed there to confirm it's yours; only a scrambled form of the code is
kept, and it stops working after 10 minutes. The person running Vurnly also keeps the name
they gave the link, so they know who it was for.
- Your account: a username, and your password stored only as a one-way hash.
Vurnly cannot read your password.
- Your list: the products you save, the sizes and target prices you set, and
the prices Vurnly reads for them over time.
- Where to reach you: the email address, and optionally the phone number and
carrier, you give for alerts, plus a log of the alerts sent.
- Your searches, so the search box can suggest them again, and any
purchases you choose to record.
- Errors in the page: if something breaks while you use Vurnly, the error message,
where in the code it happened, which screen you were on, and your browser type are sent so
it can be fixed. Nothing from your list goes with it.
- Feedback you send: your message, which screen you were on, and your account's
email address, so it can be read and answered. It is also emailed to the person running
Vurnly.
Vurnly uses one cookie, to keep you signed in. No advertising or analytics trackers
are used.
Who else sees any of it
- Stores. To find prices, Vurnly sends search words and product links to
stores' own services (such as eBay, Walmart, Etsy and Shopify's catalogue of stores). They receive the search, not
who you are.
- Email delivery. Alerts, sign-in codes, codes that confirm a new alert address, and feedback are sent through Brevo,
which handles the email address and the message's text to deliver it.
- Hosting. Vurnly runs on a server at DigitalOcean in the United States.
- Links to stores may be affiliate links, so Vurnly can earn a commission if you
buy. When you click one, the store may set its own cookies under its own privacy
policy.
Vurnly does not sell your information, and does not share it with anyone else except
where the law requires it.
Your choices
You can turn alerts off in Settings at any time. Every alert email has links to stop alerts
for that item, or all Vurnly emails, without signing in. Each link only works for your account.
Anyone you forward the email to could use it, so it's best not to forward alert emails. Your mail
app's own Unsubscribe button does the same as "stop all".
You can delete your account and
everything in it yourself, in Settings → Your account. It is deleted straight away;
copies in Vurnly's backups disappear as those backups expire, within 30 days. To see what Vurnly holds about you, email

Children
Vurnly is not meant for children under 13 and does not knowingly keep information
about them.
